About Us
Our Story
Lisa Spooner, former schoolteacher and Kevin Clark, renowned fine dining chef run what’s been termed the ‘next-gen’ meat-and-three in Reynoldstown.
Home grown offers creative and delicious breakfast and lunch options and a hearty brunch menu on the weekend. Home grown is a favorite neighborhood hangout spot for residents nearby and a mandatory stopping point for just about anyone else passing through the east Atlanta area by car, bike, scooter, motorcycle, or on foot.
Our Friends
Over the years, Home grown has served thousands of people and we hope that we made each one feel like family. Some of those people also made us feel like family and have left an indelible impression. We love our community and take pride in the role we play in it, so it is so important to us that we pay respect to those that have made Home grown the place it has become.
JOHN "SHADY" LAIN Jr.
If you ever heard the live music that would float from the back of Home grown on the weekend then you heard Shady on his vibraphone. A Navy veteran and self-taught musician, he played multiple instruments and wrote and composed his own songs. His music and company was always a wonderful addition and and he will always be sorely missed.
“Nice is better than not nice.” – Shady Lain
Dan Russell Boozer
There are some people in life who make a mark on you forever. Boozer has been Home grown’s most loyal customer since the day we opened our doors. He’s become a part of our family and we are heart broken to hear of his passing. We will miss his one liners, movie quotes and song requests. He brought a simple joy to us every single morning and there are no words to express how deeply loved and missed he will be.
